The Buf-a-Tub System
The process starts by applying our Pre-Cleaner Solution, which is a
deep penetrating cleansing solution made with citrus ingredients.
The Pre-Cleaning Solution breaks down all dirt residue such as body
fats, grease, oils (from shampoos & hair conditioners), soaps, and
hard water lime scales. These are layered upon the enamel surface,
which have built up over time. This is a very important part of the
polishing procedure.
The tub is then washed down and dried out using old rags or
towels. The enamel surface is ready to polish with the Polishing
Discs.
Through various polishing disc grades, the original surface is
restored by removing all the built up residue, leaving the enamel
surface clean and shiny. The polishing discs attach to the holder
which is used on a regular variable speed drill.

home owners version)
Once all polishing stages have been accomplished, the shiny enamel
surface is coated with the Buf-a-tub Clear Guard Protective Sealer
making the surface water repellent.
If the tub is properly maintained, the enamel surface will stay clean
and shiny for years to come. Maintenance instructions are included
in the operating booklet.
